Mrs. Eusebia "Cheva" Ornelas, age 91, of Colorado City, died Saturday night in a Big Spring hospital. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ornelas was born August 14, 1923 in Hamlin, Texas to Hilario and Maria Bonilla Heredia and had lived in Colorado City most of her life. She was married to Jose Ornelas on October 14, 1940....

Mrs. Ornelas was born August 14, 1923 in Hamlin, Texas to Hilario and Maria Bonilla Heredia and had lived in Colorado City most of her life. She was married to Jose Ornelas on October 14, 1940. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Irene Martinez of Snyder, Lupe Ornelas of Big Spring and Elida Carrasco of Midland; six sons: Jose Ornelas, Jr of Sweetwater, Robert Ornelas of Colorado City, Jesus Ornelas of Denton, Ruben Ornelas of Midland, David Ornelas of Odessa and Ricky Ornelas of San Angelo; a sister, Ernestina Ramirez of Midland; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by 2 sons: Estavan Ornelas and Ramon Ornelas, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
A rosary will be held at 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
